Ingredients:
4 cups of flour
1 tablespoon of baking powder
2 tablespoon of ginger powdered
1/4 tablespoon of clove powdered
2 tablespoon of cinnamon powdered
1 cup of butter under room temperature
1 cup of brown sugar
1 big egg
1/2 cup of honey or treacle
- Mix all dry ingredients flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, clove. Cream the butter with sugar to make a cream.
- Add honey or treacle, egg and species.
- We need a uniform dough if it is sticky, add more flour. Be careful! Adding too much flour, our cookies will turn hard after baking them.
- Put the dough on a zipper plastic bag or on hermetic bol. Preserve on a fresh area, not on the fridge,for at least 2 hours, maximum 6hr.
- Stretch the dough and cut it with the cutters. Here we’ve 4 differents the snowflake, bow, leave, ginger man.
- Put the cookies on tray with oven paper unless we used it, they would sticked onto the tray.
- Preheat the oven over 180ºC baking the big pieces around 11-15 minutes and the little ones 6 around 8 minutes. It all depends on the oven capacity and the thickness of the cookie. Keep your eyes on the edges of your cookies they will turn browned when baked.
HOW TO PREPARE POWDERED SUGAR:
Ingredients:
1 egg white
Powdered sugar add the amount needed for a consistent dough
A few lemon drops
Add food coloring necessary but I added 3 tablespoons
1 dry mould
